DESCRIPTION:Entries must be submitted by 5pm on Sunday 16th October!! \nArt submissions should fit the theme of the APW Art Competition: “Including Everyone” \nArt must be uploaded as a pdf\, jpg or png file (eg. a scan of a painting/drawing\, a photograph\, digital art) \nJudges will be looking for artistic\, creative and original art! \nEntrants must be 18 years and under and live in the ACT \nWe welcome submission from all age groups up to age 18 and people with all diagnoses \nVoting will open on Sunday 16th October and close on Friday 20th October! Winners will be announced on Friday 20th October.

This year marks the twenty-year anniversary of Anti-Poverty Week\, and the focus is on understanding and acting on poverty and disadvantage in the ACT\, with a call to action of halving child poverty by 2030. \nThis year as part of ACT’s Anti-Poverty Week\, ACTCOSS and CARE Financial (Co-Chairs of ACT APW) are hosting a panel and forum discussing issues of poverty and disadvantage. \nThe panel will be moderated by ACT Council of Social Service’s Head of Policy Dr Gemma Killen and will include expert panelists; \nMember for Canberra\, Minister Alicia Payne\,\nANUSA Student Assistance Advisor\, Mr Hassan Riaz\,\nDirector of ANU Children’s Policy Centre\, and Poverty & Inequality Research Centre\, Professor Sharon Bessell\,\nUnionsACT Campaign Organiser\, Kasey Tompkins \nA light lunch will be provided.
