Helen Dix and April Hughes who are financial counselors at Centacare Catholic Country SA along with Janete Genahal who is a part of our financial well being and capabilities team are hosting an information and awareness display at our local shopping center. We will be manning this stall and having interactions with members of the public to create awareness as well as talk about options that are available.

Reading, writing and digital support

As part of the usual Thursday drop-in at The Salvation Army Doorways centres, the STeP123 Literacy Coordinator will be available to help individuals with filling in a form, using their phone, tablet, or other device, or general advice about how to improve reading and writing skills, and where support is available. In addition, families and children will be encouraged to come to a cosy corner to read with their children, with support from STeP123.

Kids in the Kitchen supports families learn how to cook budget friendly and nutritional meals. The cooking of the meals is led by the children during the first four weeks of the programs, with adult supervision.
