Lighting up Hobart

October 11 - October 13

Hobart will light up for Anti-Poverty Week in a big way. The Rose Garden Bridge, Elizabeth Mall, Railway Roundabout Fountain, Franklin Square Fountain and Cardinal Lights will all be lit up in blue to recognise Anti Poverty Week 2021. City of Hobart will also be taking part in a social media campaign to highlight APW activities and regional response.

Lighting up Launceston

October 17 - October 26

Launceston Seaport, the Launceston Mall and Civic Square will all be lit up from 17-23 October. Launceston Town Hall will be lit up in blue, white and green from 22-26 October. City of Launceston will also be taking part in a social media campaign to highlight APW activities and regional response.

Missions Expressions participating to shine a spotlight on reducing poverty; Doorways, Doorways to Parenting, Thrift Store etc will be having individual stalls promoting their programs, support that is offered and an opportunity for community to meet the staff. Doorways will be covering the cost for community members wishing to enjoy the community lunch. Local law firms will be present throughout the day to assist community members with developing wills (there is a cost associated).
