Poverty centre stage on the national agenda

Anti-Poverty Week Executive Director and Dr Andrew Charlton were asked to address the National Press Club on 17 November – the title: Be alarmed: the the COVID economic recovery will leave many more Australians in poverty.

You can watch a recording of the speeches and question time here.

Many thanks to Laura Tingle, President of the National Press Club and Chief Correspondent for 7.30 for the invitation and her kind endorsement when the recording was available: “This was a refreshingly intelligent bit of discussion about the economic fallout of the pandemic. Absolutely should be watched.”
