Leaving Poverty Behind

October 17, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The experience of poverty is multi-dimensional and can affect every phase of a person’s life. Join us during Anti-Poverty Week to reflect on the narratives of poverty and hear from artist Simon Kneebone in conversation with SACOSS CEO Ross Womersley.

Simon is an Adelaide-based cartoonist and illustrator whose works have appeared countless SACOSS and community sector reports and submissions, the New Internationalist, the website Pro Bono and the journal Australian Options. Simon live-illustrated at the 2022 SACOSS conference Alternative Futures: Ending Poverty, and the works on display are his response to the lively panel discussions held at the conference.

This exhibition will be held on Tuesday 17th October, at SACOSS, 47 King William Road, Unley, from 5.30pm – 7pm with drinks and light refreshments served. Please register online to confirm your attendance by Friday 13th October.
