Latrobe Council will be lighting up an enormous tree in recognition of Anti Poverty Week 2020. The tree, located at the corner of the Bass Highway and Gilbert Street (near the Cherry Shed) will be lit up in green, white and blue for much of the week.

Conversations and discussions will focus on how COVID-19 has impacted on those experiencing poverty. The main highlight however will be on the importance of keeping income support payments above the poverty line, particularly for those in receipt of JobKeeper.
