Rosalie Rendu Forum 2023 – Cost of Living: Who pays the price for a society divided?

October 19, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Join St Vincent de Paul Society NSW for our annual Rosalie Rendu Forum on Thursday 19 October, during Anti-Poverty Week. The theme for this year is “Cost of Living: Who pays the price for a society divided?”. Join us in person at the University of Notre Dame, Broadway Campus, or join online.

The Rosalie Rendu Forum highlights the contribution of women to leadership and social justice in and outside of Vinnies. This year’s panel features eminent women leaders in social and economic equality including:
Sr Carmel Hanson RSJ;
• Verity Firth, UTS Pro Vice-Chancellor for Social Justice and Inclusion;
• Joanna Quilty, CEO NSW Council for Social Service;
• Dr Lisa Buxton, EO Aboriginal Catholic Ministry, Sydney; and
• Yumi Lee, CEO NSW Older Women’s Network, with more to be announced.

Members, volunteers and staff of the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW are encountering increasing need because of dramatic increases in the cost of living. Many individuals and families are approaching charities like us for the first time. The forum will hear from leaders advocating on behalf of the people who are most affected by worsening social and economic conditions. We will consider how we can best work together for a more equitable distribution of wealth and opportunity.
