Mission Australia, Youth Action and NCOSS invite you to a forum focused on young people’s experiences of poverty and examples of what is working to prevent poverty being an ongoing influence on their future.
This is a free event but space is limited so please register via Eventbrite.
Speakers include:
– James Toomey, CEO of Mission Australia provides insights into the importance of working to reduce the impact of poverty on young people
– Katie Acheson, CEO of Youth Action facilitates a panel of young people and youth workers from Mission Australia’s Canterbury Bankstown Youth Service discussing real life experiences
– Jane Sanders: Principal Solicitor, The Shopfront Youth Legal Centre speaks on the criminalisation of poverty; and
– Joann Fildes: Head of Research and Evaluation at Mission Australia takes a NSW focus on the MA Youth Survey’s supplementary report on economically disadvantaged young people.
