The Cairns Alliance of Social Services (CASS) present the fourth “budget bites challenge” where we will once again bring together local identities, the media, hospitality professionals and the community sector to showcase the opportunities there are to create delicious food on a budget, while raising awareness of poverty and its impacts in our region.

Come along and watch teams from The Cairns Post, Star 102.7 FM and ABC Radio Far North Queensland battle for the best budget cook. We will see how it plays out under the scrutiny of our panel of judges!

Local service providers will also be exhibiting with a focus on budget beating ideas and a FREE sausage sizzle will be available for all.
