Climate Justice: working together for a more equitable and sustainable future

Our climate is changing dramatically. Over the last few years, our communities have endured more frequent and severe weather events including devastating floods, droughts, bushfires and heatwaves. As St Vincent de Paul Society NSW members, volunteers and staff are on hand to help people in our communities during major emergencies, and walk alongside people as they recover and rebuild their lives. As each disaster unfolds, we have seen more clearly how it is marginalised people and communities who are being impacted the most. How then should we respond to the challenges of climate change to avoid widening inequality, and build resilience amongst those most at risk?

Join us for our annual Rosalie Rendu Forum on 20 October 2022 to hear from academic experts and those who’ve lived through recent disasters, and discuss what’s needed to avoid the worst injustices of climate change, and better protect those more likely to feel its impact.

The 2022 Rosalie Rendu Forum will be held online as a webinar, however we encourage you to come together within your own communities to hold satellite events across New South Wales. Webinar details will be emailed to registered participants prior to the event.
